Japan is a wonderful country, and we certainly want to encourage you to come and experience this for yourself. But a lot of things are very different here. And that confuses especially first-time visitors. Cities don’t have street names and confusing signage. Even experienced cab drivers can get lost in Japan! Getting cell phone or WiFi service is another problem. So today we want to share some basic Japan travel tips. They will help you get the most out of your visit, and have a better experience doing so.
We are still getting settled in to our new home after our big trip, and many things still confuse us at times! Some things, such as figuring out the best way to ride the train, and getting our Suica Cards we mastered by now. And even without street names we can find our way around Sendai pretty well by now. Of course, we are here already, which makes the learning curve a bit easier on us. But for those of you planning your trip from abroad these Japan travel tips will come in handy!
