Two Innovative Digital Nomads

Once upon a time there were two innovative web designers in Seattle. They had a successful business, a uber cool loft in a very hip downtown neighborhood, and lots of friends to hang out and get highly caffeinated with. So it was a pretty good life overall. Until one day we decided to hit the ultimate life reset button and give up our previously scheduled life already in progress, and turn ourselves into two innovative digital nomads!

Not how long, but how well you have lived is the main thing.

Two Innovative Digital Nomads

Many of you asked if we simply lost our minds. No! Our minds are doing just fine, thank you. Which is why we decided that there had to be more to life than “same old, same old” all over again. We wanted more out of our life, and decided to go get it! The timing was right, we were ready for the next steps, and that’s when we decided to hit the ultimate life reset button, and become two innovative digital nomads.

As we wrap up our life in North America and transition to our new home in Sendai, Japan, we want to give you the opportunity to follow along. Which is why we decided to start our new innovative digital nomads blog, cokoguri! For now it is simply a way for you to see what we are up to, and to follow along. We also share tips and resources for digital nomads, as well as pictures and videos.

As we get more settled in as digital nomads we plan to add interesting or unusual products we find on our travels, provide you with trip planning resources, cross-cultural consulting to help you avoid cultural missteps, etc. So for now this is only the beginning. Thanks so much for joining us on our journey; we will try to keep it fun and interesting for you! And if there is anything you would like to see or do just let us know!

Happy Travels!

Born in Germany, raised in Canada, lived in the US, and moved to Japan, I am a well-traveled creative and storyteller. I love exploring new worlds, meeting new people, sampling new foods, and making new friends. Even better, I get to do all of this with Coco, the most awesome life and travel partner ever! When I am not exploring and writing about it I work as a foreign language editor and native checker at the Tohoku University School of Medicine. I also enjoy gardening, eating, and spoiling our two Neko Goma and Pixel.
